New Climatology of Martian Water Vapor Column Abundance Derived from NOMAD LNO Nadir Observations Over Martian Years 34-38

Repository of the data sets presented in the manuscript entitled "New Climatology of Martian Water Vapor Column Abundance Derived from NOMAD LNO Nadir Observations Over Martian Years 34-38" by F. Hendrick et al. This manuscript has been submitted to JGR: Planets in December 2025 and accepted for publication on April 1st, 2026.

The following data files (ascii column format) are made available (see also the headers of the files for a description of their content):

  • Full data set of H2O vertical column densities retrieved from LNO diffraction orders 167 and 169.
This data set has been used to prepare Figure 7 of the manuscript (inter-annual variability over Martian Years 34 to 38).

  • Data set of H2O vertical column densities retrieved from LNO diffraction orders 167 and 169 where data corresponding to the Martian Year 34 global dust storm period (Ls=195°-230°) are removed.
This data set has been used to prepare Figure 8 (mean seasonal variation over Martian Years 34 to 38) and Figure 9 (mean geographical variation over Martian Years 34 to 38, without and with scaling for topography) of the manuscript.

  • Data set corresponding to Figure 5 of the manuscript:
comparison between LNO orders 167 and 169 H2O data from this work and from Crismani et al., JGR, 2021

  • Data set corresponding to Figure 6 of the manuscript:
comparison between LNO order 168 H2O data from this work and from Crismani et al., JGR, 2021

  • Data set corresponding to Figure 10 of the manuscript:
comparison between LNO orders 167 and 169 H2O data and co-located MGS/TES data

  • Data set corresponding to Figure 11 of the manuscript:
comparison between LNO orders 167 and 169 H2O data and co-located EMM/EMIRS data

  • Data set corresponding to Figure 12 of the manuscript:
comparison between LNO orders 167 and 169 H2O data and co-located GEM-Mars model data

  • New AOTF function data (Figure S4 of the Supporting Information).
