SPENVIS User's Workshop 2010

In parallel to the development and exploitation of the ESA's Space Environment Information System (SPENVIS), few User's Workshop were convened with the objective to bring the SPENVIS users together, to share their experience, to identify their requirements, and to present new and forthcoming developments. SPENVIS is a web-based tool developed and operated for the European Space Agency (ESA) by the Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB) providing an integrated interface to models of the space environment and its effects.

The SPENVIS User's Workshop 2010 was held on 7-9 June 2010 in Mechelen. Situated halfway between Brussels and Antwerp, Mechelen is a town with many cultural sites, some of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and it is also here where the great "Gouden Carolus Beer" -- winner of two "World Beer Awards" (2007, 2009) -- is brewed. The workshop venue was at the Lamot Conference- and Heritage Centre.
