MEPED E90 T6h L0.1 2024 [05-06]
Electron fluxes observed by the MEPED 90° instrument between May and June 2024. In this file, the data was averaged on L (the McIlwain parameter) and in time (6h). The fluxes are thus averaged in bins of L and time.
The dataset has the following structure: Coordinates:
- name - type - size - min - max - description.
- time_center - datetime64[ns] - 242 - 2024-05-01T03:00:00 - 2024-06-30T09:00:00 - center of the time bins.
- time_edges - datetime64[ns] - 243 - 2024-05-01T00:00:00 - 2024-06-30T12:00:00 - edges of the time bins.
- L_center - float64 - 90 - L=1.05 - L=9.95 - center of the L bins.
- L_edges - float64 - 91 - L=1 - L=10 - edges of the L bins.
- energy_center - float64 - 3 - E=30 keV - E=300 keV - Note: since the fluxes are integral, this correspond to the lower energy limit of the electrons.
- energy_edges - float64 - 4 - E=30 keV - E=2500 keV
Data variables:
- name - type - (coordinates) - (size)
- data - (time_center, L_center, energy_center) - (242, 90, 3). averaged electron fluxes in the L-Time bins.
Note: For python users, we recommand using the 'xarray' library to read the dataset easily.
