3-years of (O)VOC, ozone, and turbulence profile measurements at a mixed temperate forest at the Vielsalm ICOS ecosystem station (Belgium)

This dataset contains (oxygenated) volatile organic compound ((O)VOC) and ozone concentration profile measurements obtained at an ICOS ecosystem site in Vielsalm, Belgium. For determining concentrations, air was sampled sequentially from 7 different PFA lines with sampling points distributed between 3 and 51 m above ground level. Concentration gradients were typically measured a few times per day with irregular reporting intervals. One profile measurement of (O)VOC and ozone concentrations takes 35 minutes. Additionally, turbulence profiles are included in this database and were reported on a regular time interval with 30 minute resolution.

The (O)VOC concentration data were obtained with a PTR-ToF-MS 4000 instrument (Ionicon Analytik GmbH, Austria). The ozone concentration data were obtained with a T400 UV Absorption ozone analyser (Teledyne Technologies Inc, CA, USA). Turbulence was measured using 3D sonic anemometer (HS-50 and R3-50, Gill Instrument Ltd, UK).

Detailed site description, characterization of the site, and ancillary measurements performed by the ICOS network, can be found in the ICOS portal, BE-Vie station webpage.
